Google API Services Disclosure

Hilancer offers optional integrations with Google services (Google Sign-In, Google Drive, and Google Calendar). This page explains what information we receive from Google APIs, how it is used, and our compliance with Google's data protection requirements.

Limited Use statement

Hilancer's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

The use and transfer of raw or derived user data received from Google Workspace APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

What Google data we access and why

Google Sign-In (openid, email, profile)

Used exclusively to authenticate you and create your Hilancer account (name, email address, and profile picture). This data is never shared with third parties and is never sent to any AI or machine-learning model.

Google Calendar

Used exclusively to create and manage interview events on your calendar, at your explicit request. Calendar data is never used for advertising, never sold, never shared with third parties, and never transmitted to any AI or machine-learning model.

Google Drive (drive.file)

We use the narrow drive.file scope: Hilancer can only access the specific files you explicitly select in the Google Drive picker (for example, a CV or a contact spreadsheet you choose to import). Hilancer never browses or accesses any other content in your Drive.

Use of artificial intelligence

Hilancer's AI features are powered exclusively by the Google Gemini API (a third-party AI service operated by Google). We do not use any other AI provider and we do not transfer user data to any other AI service.

The only Google-API data ever processed by AI are the files you explicitly select in the Google Drive picker, and only to fulfill the import you requested (extracting candidate information from a CV or spreadsheet). This processing happens through the Google Gemini API under terms that prohibit the use of your data to train generalized AI models.

No data obtained through Google APIs is ever used — by Hilancer or by any provider on our behalf — to develop, improve, or train generalized AI or machine-learning models.

Our Limited Use commitments

• We only use Google user data to provide and improve the user-facing features described above.
• We do not transfer Google user data to third parties, except as necessary to provide these features, to comply with applicable law, or as part of a merger or acquisition with prior notice.
• We never use or transfer Google user data for advertising purposes.
• We do not allow humans to read Google user data, unless we have your explicit permission, it is necessary for security purposes, it is required to comply with the law, or the data has been aggregated and anonymized.
